Conference Registration Opens in May!
On Friday, September 11, 2020, MDHHS and CMHAM will host a one-day Self-Determination conference at the Lansing Center.  This Conference will reaffirm and revitalize the practice of Self-Determination, Person-Centered Planning and Self-Direction throughout Michigan.  MDHHS is dedicated to increasing consistent  implementation of high quality Person-Centered Planning through Self-Determination and Dignity of Risk while supporting all individuals to Self-Direct as much of their services and supports as they choose.  In order to achieve this, all people working within the mental health system and their providers, all people with lived experience no matter age or diagnosis and all of their allies need to have a good understanding of how these foundations of the mental health system work.

Who Should Attend:

This conference contains content tracks appropriate for all individuals who receive services, family members, case managers, supports coordinators, clinicians, CMH administrative and clinical staff, providers, HCBS and waiver coordinators, fiscal intermediaries and independent facilitators.

Conference Fees:

  • $50 conference registration fee provides you with a program packet, admission to keynote sessions, all workshops, 1 continental breakfast, 1 lunch and all breaks.
  • Special Rate for People with Lived Experiences and Their Family Members:  A special $10 conference rate will be offered for individuals receiving services and their family members.
