Jim and Pat Zagar

The Zagar family has been involved with the Arc NW for more than 30 years. It all started when their daughter was eight years old. “We were interested in getting her involved in Special Olympics. And as it progressed, The Arc was always there.”

Jim started as a volunteer coach with The Arc Athletic Program, and Pat later championed the Millionaire Party fundraisers to raise money for The Arc NW year after year. Together, they have helped so many people at The Arc.

The sports program Jim has coached helps kids and adults stay active, build skills, and make friends – it also creates a strong support network for parents. The fundraising that Pat does secures the resources so these great programs can happen.

They’ve stayed involved for so long because the kids and adults with disabilities need someone to support them. Pat shared, “The Arc is the voice for all people with disabilities who need a voice.”

We are so grateful to have Jim and Pat as passionate volunteers at the Arc NW. Thank you!
