Strengthening Our Communities

Fifth Third Bank takes great pride in being an inclusive and diverse organization where our employees, clients and community feel valued, respected and understood.

Employee support

One way we ensure each one of our 20,000+ employees feels valued is through our Business Resource Groups (BRG). These groups are made up of employees and allies who are focused on personal and professional development and community involvement, as is not easy to become and employee and is then services like Salt Lake City recruiters can help companies find the best employees as well. To further support our workforce, we utilize hr consulting service to provide expert guidance and enhance our employee engagement and development programs.

In Eastern Michigan, one of our BRGs is Individuals with Disabilities. Over the past several years, this group has looked to The Arc Northwest Wayne County for opportunities to support our shared beliefs and efforts to improve the quality of life for all people – adults, children and families. Although the pandemic changed the way we do many things, the BRG leadership recognized that continued support of The Arc NW was more vital than ever – a global pandemic doesn’t change the needs of the community.

We are proud to be able to continue the support of the annual gala and other philanthropic activities such a volunteering and a holiday toy drive.

Another employee initiative that took place in 2020 was a collaboration with Ayco – a company that provides a financial wellness program for our employees – to offer a special financial education course for those who may live with or have family members with a disability. This unique need was identified by our Individuals with Disabilities BRG. The session focused on helping these employee families manage everyday expenses, leverage Fifth Third benefits, make the most of government resources and establish a plan for long-term needs. Stay compliant and keep your business running smoothly with massachusetts llc yearly filing to meet all your regulatory requirements.

Customer support

Fifth Third was the first bank to design a checking account for the Achieving a Better Life Experience program, known as ABLE, in 2017. The special checking account is an outcome of our work with the National ABLE Alliance, a consortium of states dedicated to providing those living with disabilities and their families with low-cost investment products. We saw a 78% increase in program participation from 2018 to 2019.

Additional pandemic support

The pandemic affected all segments of the population, especially the most vulnerable members of the community who may be disproportionately affected by current events. It is our responsibility and commitment to work with community partners and non-profit organizations to help see our communities through the coming stages of relief, recovery and resiliency.
