The Michigan State University Community Music School in Detroit, in partnership with The Arc NW, is proud to present a weekly music program for kids called Hip Hop Tots starting in April. Music classes will expose children to many different kinds of music and movement through an evidence-based curriculum proven to encourage musical, cognitive, social and emotional development. Sessions will be held on Saturday, April 6th through June 1st (no session on May 25th), from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at The Arc NW office in Redford. Hip Hop Tots is led by Christie Lower, who earned her Bachelor of Music Education from MSU. She holds certifications in Music Learning Theory, Early Childhood and Elementary Music.
