September 13  –  “How to Get What You Want Out of Life”. How to use Person Centered Planning and Self-Determination  to live the life you want to live in your community.

September 27  –  “Social Security & the Dept. of Health and Human Services”. Info on programs and services available to your son or daughter with a disability, including SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Food Assistance and Adult Home Health.

Evening With Friends – Community Living Services

Roar for More Awareness Zoo Walk
September 15 –  Saturday, 8:00am – Noon at the Detroit Zoo. Join the Arc NW, The Arc of Macomb and The Arc of Dearborn for a disability awareness walk at the Detroit Zoo. For more info call: 313-532-7915.


All After I’m Gone sessions are held Thursday evenings from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Information sessions are held monthly during the school year.

The After I’m Gone Program assists families who have a child or an adult with a disability in planning for their future when they are no longer able to provide care.

This program is offered free of charge by The Arc of Western Wayne and The Arc Northwest Wayne County.
